The Story

by Milton W. & Bill M.

For more than two years, JAYUS care group has stood as one of the best-breed care groups in Oakridge.  Its first leaders, William Ishak then Jimmy Harianto have laid out foundation solid enough for every believer and non-believer to experience Christ personally.  With the new vision, to be a serving star -- think and do as Jesus' servant, JAYUS will prepare itself to achieve a higer level of commitment in service.

Think. Service starts in our mind.  As Proverbs 23: 7 says "For as he thinks in his heart, so is he...," we train ourselves to think like a servant.  We know who we serve and focus on identifying and meeting the needs of others.  One would think that being a servant means being someone's slaves.  However, Jesus, our master, told us the opposite is true.  We become great by serving our Lord and others.

Do.  Knowledge is nothing until we put it to action.  The same idea is voiced in the Bible in James 2: 17, "In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead."  We don't want to wither (spiritually), hide our faith or displease Him.  That's why, the ministry and mission become our central activities in how we serve.  In ministry, we put the talents God has given us to use.  As Jesus wants us to develop our talents, we are interested in growing it extra extra Big Mac too.  Furthermore, our deeply-hearted mission will carry our work whatever we do: Matthew 28: 19-20 -- "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always to the very end of the age."

Now our care group is even more expanding with a total member of 16.  Bill and I are hopeful we can carry this vision and multiply our care group in an accelerating rate that Jesus had wanted us.

If you are reading this and you haven't homed a care group, please contact us.  Let us know what your needs are.  Let us be the God's hands to help you grow in Him.

 At your service,

 JAYUSers
